(UTV|COLOMBO) – A stock of military items including hand grenades, live ammunition, and explosives was discovered in a residence of a former member of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in Kilinochchi.
The arrest was made after an Officer of the Serunuwara Army Camp received a tip-off in this regard.
Thirty-six-year-old former LTTE member was arrested with a Type 56 (T-56) weapon and later when his residence was searched, several military items were discovered.
His wife and sister were also taken into Police custody.
