(UTV|COLOMBO) – A total number of 7,666 motorists have been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol from 05 July to 08 August, the Police stated.
A special island-wide operation was commenced from 05 July, in order to apprehend drunk drivers.
Accordingly 110 drunk drivers were arrested from 07 August, 6.00 AM to 08 August, 6.00 AM.
