(UTV|COLOMBO) – Prevailing showery condition is expected to enhance over the island today (09), the Department of Meteorology stated.
Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island.
Very Heavy falls above 150 millimetres can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces. Heavy falls above 100 millimetres can be expected at some places in Western, North-Western, Southern, and Uva Provinces, the Met. Department stressed.
Fairly heavy falls about 75 millimetres can be expected at some places elsewhere, particularly in North-Central Province, and in Mannar and Vauniya Districts.
