(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Parliamentarian Athuraliye Rathana thera says a policy should be formulated pertaining to land and industries before handing out land to foreign investors in the country.
Speaking at an event held in Colombo, Athuraliye Rathana thera said foreign investments cannot be trusted due to issues in the world economy.
The Parliamentarian said the country will not develop as soon as international factories are constructed in Sri Lanka. He said factories in Europe have closed down which has resulted in the unemployment rate to rise.
