(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – On receipt of an intelligence tip-off to the ‘Coast Guard’ Kirinda, a group of Coast Guard personnel attached to the same station, in coordination with STF personnel of Katharagama, raided two cannabis cultivation of 0.5 acres each, in Dambe, Katharagama yesterday (22).
During the raid, 3 suspects were also taken into custody.
The SLCG and STF personnel set fire on the plantation destroying over 3,250 plants of cannabis. The arrested persons were handed over to the Katharagama Police for further legal action.
