(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Showery and windy conditions are expected to continue over the country and adjacent sea areas.
Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island.
Heavy showers (more than 100mm) are likely at some places, particularly in the Eastern province and south-western part of the country.
Fairly strong winds (about 40-50kmph) can be expected at times over the country.
Temporary localized strong winds during the thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
