UTV | COLOMBO – New head coach of the Sri Lankan cricket team Chandika Hathurusinghe will hold his first press conference this evening, Sri Lanka Cricket sources said.
Hathurusinghe, previously the head coach of the Bangladeshi cricket team, signed an agreement with Sri Lanka Cricket yesterday.
He will be the highest paid coach in the history of Sri Lanka Cricket with a monthly salary exceeding RS. 6 million among other perks.
Hathurusinghe takes over the national cricket team at the end of the worst year in its recent history.
Of the 28 ODI matches Sri Lanka played in 2018, it managed to win only 05. In addition, five captains were appointed, from time to time, to lead the national cricket team.
