(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The United Postal Trade Union Front has launched a continuous strike, which commenced at midnight Monday (26).
The operations and proceedings of many Post Offices have been paralysed as a result of the trade union action.
The Union said that they are protesting against the Government’s move to convert the historic buildings of the Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, and Galle Post Offices into tourism offices and several other management issues.
