Brazilian sentenced to life imprisonment

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A Brazilian national, who was arrested for smuggling in and being in possession of 600 grams of cocaine, has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

The Customs Offices in the passenger terminals of the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), had arrested the suspect on 16 February 2018, on possession of cocaine.

The suspect was later handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB).
