(UTV|COLOMBO) – Army officers have been deployed to douse a fire which erupted at the Kurulangala forest reserve in Wellawaya.
Army Spokesman Brigadier Sumith Atapattu said that around 25 army officers have been deployed to the area.
A Disaster Management Centre (DMC) official noted that the fire had erupted in the afternoon.
