(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – A businessman has been shot dead in Mawathagama, Kurunegala.
The Police Media Unit said two persons who arrived on a motorbike had opened fire at the businessman.
The incident was reported around 10:20 last night when the individual was travelling in a cab.
The businessman succumbed after being admitted to the Kurunegala Hospital for treatment.
The 66 year old is a resident of Thalgaspitiya. No suspects have been arrested yet.
