(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Police Department has deployed 65,758 police personnel for election duties, for the forthcoming Local Government Elections to be held on 10 February.
Speaking at a press briefing at the Police Headquarters in Colombo on Wednesday (07), Police Media Spokesperson, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ruwan Gunasekara said two armed Police personnel, a Constable and Sergeant, will be deployed for each of the 13,420 polling centres across the country.
