(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – On receipt of intelligence information to the Navy, naval personnel attached to the Western Naval Command combined with Peliyagoda Police apprehended 2 suspects with illegal drugs, during a raid carried out at Batuwatta locality in Negombo yesterday (18).
Accordingly, thousand tablets of illegal drugs (Tramadol) which are believed to be used for intoxication, were arrested while being transferred in aforesaid region by a three-wheeler. The arrested persons and consignment of illegal drugs were handed over to the Ragama Police for further investigations.
