(UTV|COLOMBO) – Jason Scott Lee (“Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story,” “The Jungle Book”) will serve alongside Gong Li as a villain in the Niki Caro-directed live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1998 cartoon “Mulan”.
Liu Yifei is playing the titular heroine Hua Mulan, who disguises herself as a man in order to spare her elderly father from having to join the military. Lee will play Bori Khan, a warrior leader who is intent on avenging his father’s death.
Donnie Yen, Yoson An, Ron Yuan, Jet Li, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Xana Tang and Chum Ehelepola co-star. Jason Reed, Chris Bender and Jake Weiner are producing the film which is currently scheduled for a March 27th 2020 release.
