(UTV|COLOMBO) – The vehicle used in the recent armed robbery of a jewellery shop in Matara was apprehended by the Police today (02). The husband of the owner of the vehicle was also arrested.
A gun battle erupted in the Matara town on 22 June between the Police and a group of armed robbers in which a Policeman was killed and 3 others were injured.
