UTV | COLOMBO – Police say 2 women have been hacked to death at Warallamandiya in Kosgama in Avissawella this morning (Jun 02).
The deceased were 34-year-old, mother of one child and her grandmother, who was a 78-year-old.
The young mother’s child was just one-month-old
Police said the murders have been committed over money.
It is suspected that a relative of the victims had committed the murders and he has fled the area.
The suspect was a money lender.
