UTV | COLOMBO – The Mayday rally organized by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna led by the Joint Opposition began under the patronage of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Samanala Grounds in Galle this afternoon.
“Join forces against tax burden, selling off national resources and Central Bank bond scam” was the theme of the rally.
The former President Rajapaksa joined the rally at 5 pm.
The retrieval of plundered money from the bond scam and EPF and cancelling of Free Trade Agreements with India and Singapore were among the pledges made during the rally.
