(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Treasury has issued 10 billion rupees to Ministries as a payment for projects completed in the fourth quarter of 2016.
Issuing a communiqué, the Finance Ministry said there were no delays when issuing funds for the projects.
The statement said all payments for the projects were completed within the past year.
However, the Finance Ministry said payments for bills that were delayed were paid off during the first quarter of this year.
The statement also said the balance of the cash settlements of the Treasury will be settled as soon as possible.
