UTV | COLOMBO – The Election Commission says they will announce the date for the upcoming local government polls next week.
An official said it will be announced on the final day or day before that on the final day of the nominations for the remaining 248 local government bodies are accepted.
Additional Elections Commissioner M. M. Mohammed said nominations will be accepted for those LG bodies from 18th to 21st noon of this month.
