Hussey helps put Tasmania cricket back on track

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Tasmania’s cricketing woes are likely to continue for at least another season but the road to recovery has started with a review by Mike Hussey highlighting numerous areas needing improvement, including player recruitment.

Lacklustre results across all formats, including two successive last-place Sheffield Shield finishes, culminated in the sacking of first-grade and Big Bash League coaches Dan Marsh and Damien Wright respectively, plus the removal of cricket general manager Andrew Dykes.

Hussey was brought in to find what was going wrong and on Tuesday his extensive list of 33 recommendations was revealed by Chief Executive Nick Cummins.
