Coconut no longer in special MRP list

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has removed coconut from the special gazetted list that includes items that come under stipulated Maximum Retail Price (MRP).

The Authority amended the Extraordinary Gazette No.2048/30 dated 6th December, 2017 that declared a coconut cannot be sold at more than Rs.75 in the local market.
