(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal presented by Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera to grant retirement benefits for President Maithripala Sirisena after he steps down as President following the election on 16 November.
Among the benefits approved is for him to continue to use his current Official Residence in Colombo and to be provided security by the Special Task Force (STF).
