(UTV|COLOMBO) – AN Afghan election candidate was killed on Wednesday (17) in a blast in his office in the southern province of Helmand, officials said, although there was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Abdul Jabar Qahraman, who was preparing to contest Saturday’s parliamentary polls was killed in the blast, a senior government official said.
Eight people were injured, another government official said.
