(UTV|COLOMBO) – The enhancement of afternoon thundershowers to some extent over the island can be expected from today (16), the Department of Meteorology said.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at most places over the island particularly after 2.00 PM.
Heavy falls above 100 millimetres can be expected at some places, particularly in Central, Uva, Sabaragamuwa, North-Central, and North-Western Provinces, and in Mannar District.
