(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Malaria Eradication Campaign says that the new mosquito species found to be a malaria disease carrier, Anopheles Stephensi that was found in a well in Pesalai in Mannar has been contained.
Malaria Eradication Campaign Director, Dr. Hemanta Herath has stated to the media that all possible measures have been taken to prevent further spread of the Malaria mosquito outside of Mannar.
