UTV | COLOMBO – The Criminal Investigation Department has initiated an investigation on a strange post published on the Twitter Account of President Maithripala Sirisena.
However, President’s Media Unit stated that it cannot confirm yet whether the President’s Official Twitter Account is hacked or not.
An excerpt of the speech made by the President at the inauguration of the second session of the 8th Parliament was published on his Official Twitter page yesterday (May 08).
However, another post which contradicted the President’s speech was published on his Official Twitter page.
The abnormal post was withdrawn shortly.
The President’s Media Unit stated that the CID has initiated an investigation with regard to the strange post published without the knowledge of the administrator.
