(UTV|COLOMBO) – Based on information received by the Navy, a group of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command combined with STF personnel in Sardhapura nabbed a person for possessing 67 turtle eggs, during a search conducted in the beach area of Erakkandi.
The apprehended suspect along with turtle eggs was handed over to the Department of Wildlife in Nilaweli for onward investigations.
