(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Tripitakaya, the Buddha’s word was universalized on Monday (09) at the Department of Government Information by releasing the Deega Nikaya to the internet in parallel to the Vesak celebration.
Supported by the Ministry of Buddhasasana it has been voiced and was released to the internet by the` Chief Sanganayaka of Japan, Director of Mahabodhi Society and the incumbent of Agrashravaka Viharaya, Most Ven. Banagala Upathissa Thero. Anyone can listen to it on www.trippitakaya.org or www.tripitakaya.lk
“In book form there are 57 books and we are hoping to complete the voicing within the next three-months with donations from people who are keen to spread the word of Dhamma”, said secretary of Tripitaka Voice Recording operation Unit and Director of Control Center Ven. Ambulugala Sumangala Thero.
