Supreme Court extends interim order against implementing death penalty

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Supreme Court today (29) extended the interim order preventing the implementation of death penalty till 10 December.

Eleven Fundamental Rights (FR) Petitions and a Writ petition have been filed before the Supreme Court thus far against President Maithripala Sirisena’s decision to implement the death penalty.
