(UTV|COLOMBO) – The price of a kilogram of wheat flour was increased by Rs.5 by bakery owners last week while they also increased the prices of bakery products including a loaf of bread.
The All Island Bakery Owners Association says if the price of wheat flour is reduced, steps will be taken to reduce the price of a loaf of bread by Rs.5.
Chairman of the Association NK Jayawardene said the official announcement will be made upon the government’s confirmation of a reduction in prices.
