UTV | COLOMBO – Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera says with the implementation of the fuel pricing mechanism, the prices of fuel could be increased or decreased every 2 months.
The new fuel pricing mechanism was approved by the Cabinet Day-before-yesterday (May 09).
Addressing the media, the Minister also said that 2.5% tax on children’s savings accounts will be withdrawn.
He also said that writers royalty fee from publishers will be tax-free up to Rs. 50,000 monthly or Rs. 500,000 per annum.
