UTV | COLOMBO – Minister Gayantha Karunathillake says since there are accusations that unsuitable persons are enjoying Samurdhi benefits, the government is considering to introduce a new mechanism to identify beneficiaries to disperse Samurdhi.
Meanwhile, All Ceylon Samurdhi and Assistant Agriculture Development Officers’ Union said if the proposal to take the Samurdhi Development Bank under the purview of the Central Bank is not withdrawn within 2 weeks, a series of protests will be organized in future.
