(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs has requested the public to display the national flag for one week parallel to the celebration of the 69th Independence Day. The Ministry Secretary also stated that State organization heads have been instructed to hoist the flag at their respective institutions.
All preparations are underway for the National Independence Day celebrations at the Galle Face greens under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe.
It is also reported that the rehearsals for the military parade for the day, are currently underway.
