UTV | COLOMBO – The national television of India Dhooradarshan has defined the local government election in Sri Lanka as a referendum, for the current government which has been postponing the election since 2015.
The Indian TV service also predicted that Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna was heading for a landslide win.
It had further noted that the Tamil National Alliance has secured victories in the North and East Local Government institutions although they encountered various challenges.
