(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – President Maithripala Sirisena has directed the authorities to increase the monthly allowance granted to kidney patients, President’s Media Division said in a statement on Thursday (08).
The President has instructed to increase the Rs. 3,000 allowance to Rs. 5,000 per month.
Accordingly, the kidney patients will be entitled to a monthly allowance of Rs. 5,000.
The President’s Media Division said around 20,000 persons of low income families suffering from various kidney related illnesses receive the allowance.
