(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – A landslide has been reported Morawaka Kanda, Deniyaya due to the incessant rains experienced in the area.
Reportedly, search and rescue teams were arriving in the area.
Meanwhile another landslide has been reported in Mawatha Kanda, Bellana, Baduraliya, and five houses have been buried under the collapsing earth.
The reported said search operations were underway for individuals who may be buried under the mound of earth.
