(UDHAYAM, PARIS) – Five persons arrested and remanded for behaving in an unruly manner during the opening ceremony of the Southern Development Project at the Mirijjawila Investment Promotion Zone have been further remanded till the 30th of January.
The suspects were remanded after they were produced before the Hambantota Magistrate today. 24 suspects arrested and remanded in connection to the incident were also further remanded this morning.
Accordingly, 29 suspects in total have been remanded for behaving in an unruly manner during the opening ceremony of the Southern Development Project at the Mirijjawila investment promotion zone.
A further 10 suspects were released on bail.
