(UTV|COLOMBO) – Special train services from tomorrow for the convenience of pilgrims attending the Poson festival to be held in Anuradhapaura, the Railway Control Room said.
Accordingly,A special train will leave the Colombo Fort station tomorrow at 12 noon to Anuradhapura for the convenience of pilgrims.
On Poson Poya, three trains will leave Colombo to Anuradhapura.
Anuradhapura District Secretary RM Wanninayake said that all facilities have been provided for the devotees who come to Anuradhapura Atamasthana, Mihintale and Thanthirimale. He further said that the Mihintale Night Perahera will not take place this year. However, all other religious programs have been organized in a proper manner.
