(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Police arrest the 19-year-old youth, the prime suspect of the Deraniyagala double murder, this morning.
He was arrested while hiding in the Sri Pada reservation
Five police squads carried out a special operation in the Sri Pada Reservation from last forenoon to arrest the suspect.
A seven-year-old girl and a 45-year-old person were killed by assaulting with sharp weapons on 6th of this month.
The 41-year-old mother was also severely wounded as a result of the assault.
