(UTV|COLOMBO) – Deputy Chairman of the Puttalam Pradeshiya Sabha, Jayampathi Banduraja was arrested on Monday (21) in connection with the death of a 32-year-old person who died after falling in an uncovered culvert in Sembetta – Welasiya road.
Banduraja, who obtained the contract for the reconstruction of the road, had commenced operations without displaying the mandatory warning sign plates indicating the roadway construction.
