CAA to raid shops selling rice not heeding to price controls

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Consumer Affairs Authority has decided to take action again shopkeepers selling rice over the imposed price controls.

Control prices were announced following the advice of President Maithripala Sirisena.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce said that there will not be a scarcity of essential goods during the upcoming Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
