(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – It is reported President Maithripala Sirisena will reveal his pick for Chief Justice to the Constitutional council today (27th Monday).
President Maithripala Sirisena will appoint a new Chief Justice to replace K. Sripavan who is set to retire on 28th February once reaching the retirement age of 65.
Prior to being appointed Chief Justice, Kanagasabapathy J. Sripavan was a Judge, Solicitor General, President of the Court of Appeal and puisne Justice of the Supreme Court, Udhayam News learns.
