(UTV|COLOMBO) – Landslide warning has issued to Kandy, Matale and Nuwara Eliya due to prevailing raining weather, stated the Deputy Director of Disaster Management Center, Pradeep Kodippili.
Deputy Director Pradeep Kodippili further stated that cutting off the tree branches on either sides of the Colombo-Kandy main road will be carried out today (25).
Meanwhile, four spill gates of Victoria reservoir and two spill gates of Thabbowa reservoir have been opened since last night (24), the Disaster Management Center stated.
