(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Former President Parliamentarian (MP) Mahinda Rajapaksa says the recovery of the Generalized Scheme of Preferences Plus or GSP+ will harm the countries culture.
MP Mahinda Rajapaksa made this statement speaking at a special conference organized by the National Freedom Front (NFF).
MP Rajapaksa said all conditions set out in order to obtain the GSP+ concession have been accepted by the present government.
He said having accepted all conditions the government is prepared to amend all draft bills as well.
MP Mahinda Rajapaksa charged the European Union is clearly giving the GSP+ facility but reiterated the country was not affected because of the lack of GSP+.
