(UDHAYAM, NACHCHIKUDA) – Naval personnel attached to SLNS Buwaneka located in Nachchikuda in the North Central Naval Command arrested 2 suspects with 45 kg of Kerala Cannabis, in the sea area of Erukkulampiddi yesterday (16).
The 2 suspects were attempting to transfer the stock of cannabis by a traditional boat (Wallam) into the country when they were intercepted by the naval personnel who were on a special dinghy patrol. The arrested persons and stock of cannabis were handed over to Adampan Police for onward legal action.
