(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Five police teams have been deployed to investigate the double murder in Magala, Deraniyagala.
Police said the 19-year-old suspect has fled the area.
The suspect who visited a house in the area last night had attacked the mother the daughter and one of their relatives with a sharp object.
The 45-year-old relative and the daughter died on the spot.
The 41-year-old mother has been transferred from Avissawella hospital to Colombo national Hospital.
Hospital sources stated that the patient’s condition is not serious.
