(UDHAYAM, MANILA) – Leila De Lima, the Philippine woman Senate representative who stood against the anti-drug fight of President Rodrigo Duterte was arrested today accused that she has taken bribes from drug dealers in Philippine prisons.
Leila who fled her home last night before being arrested by police officers spent last night at the Senate building.
She mentioned that her innocence will be proven soon, before she was taken into the prison.
Amnesty International has condemned the arresting of Senate member Leila De Lima.
