(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The United Postal Trade Union Front is scheduled to launch a continuous strike, which is due to be commenced at midnight Monday (26), and the operations of many Post Offices are expected to be paralysed as a result of the trade union action.
The Union said that they are protesting against the Government’s move to convert the historic buildings of the Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, and Galle Post Offices into tourism offices and several other management issues.
